Factions and Game Modes

BRIGANDINE ABYSS is not one campaign. Story Mode follows six named nations against the Neo Abyssloa Empire. Mission Mode opens 24 nations, each with its own objective. This page lists only names the official site has already published.

Story Mode Versus Mission Mode

Story Mode names six nations; Mission Mode uses twenty-four nations and unique objectives
Original nation marks for this site, not official flags. Story names come from the official introduction page; the extra 18 Mission names are left blank because public copy is incomplete.
Story ModePlay the story for each of the six nations that stand against Neo Abyssloa.
SettingContinent of Meltitea. Official copy also uses “New Empire” and “Abyssloa Empire” for the antagonist.
Mission ModeSelect one of 24 nations and complete that nation’s unique objectives, plus short stories for those nations.
Turn cycleOrganization Phase, Attack Phase, then Invasion Phase. Confirmed in NIS America’s demo announcement copy.

The Six Story Nations

Gran Dragnica — LargoA wasteland nation of dragons and human tamers. Largo sets out to save dragons taken and brainwashed by the New Empire.
Scarlet Will — GarnetA mercenary band that travels the grasslands with unicorns. After her father’s death, Garnet continues the fight to protect people from the New Empire.
Mysteine — ZeilzardeA queendom founded by the hero Lunadia. Knight commander General Zeilzarde stands against the New Empire to safeguard the continent’s peace.
Purifanoe — AlysbelleA hidden faerie village in the Greatwood. Alysbelle is a young human girl who leaves with faerie companions as the invasion grows fiercer.
Samura Village — SayaA warrior tribe on an isolated island off the east coast. Chieftain Saya marches after signs that a comrade may be tied to the New Empire.
Pandemyuon — TYPE-FA secret New Empire group researching Chimeraization. TYPE-F is a boy created as a weapon who rebels after meeting a sacred maiden.
Demo note The current Steam demo only opens Gran Dragnica and Scarlet Will, and only their first two seasons. See the Demo FAQ before treating this list as the playable demo roster.

Mission Mode Objectives

The official system page says missions can include these objectives. It does not assign each objective to a named nation on that page.

Between seasons you can upgrade strongholds with materials, send unused leaders on Explorations, hire extra leaders and monsters, and buy or sell gear from the Traveling Merchant. Those systems sit on the same official system page as the mode list.
